Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have further concerns about physiotherapy, my process or what happens during a session? I’d love to alleviate that worry. Here are some frequently asked questions I receive from my patients. If you are wondering something not covered, do get in touch and we can have a chat.

  • Performers coming in for vocal physiotherapy should ideally wear a wide-neck top. Please avoid halter neck tops or sports bras as they make it difficult to access the area effectively during manual therapy.

For physiotherapy clients, tighter clothing such as workout kit is advised, and I always recommend bringing a pair of loose fitting shorts if lower limb release work may be required.

  • The normal flow of a session is to start with a chat, where I will gather all appropriate information. We then undertake a physical assessment, therapeutic intervention and exercise prescription. That said, every patient is unique so therefore every session is different. You will be listened to and treated with openness and integrity no matter your situation, and will be able to provide consent to any intervention throughout.

If you have any concerns, I encourage you to raise them with me.

  • As a supporter of holistic practice, I’m not afraid to refer on if my services are not the initial priority for a patient’s care. I am able to advise, support and refer on through the process as required. This guidance will be shared throughout your therapy plan. Recommendations can include merging with both private and public health care providers.

  • Every patient is unique and complex. During our initial consultation I can advise and suggest a frequency for your physiotherapy treatment, based on the information provided. Patient sessions can range vastly from a frequency of three sessions per week to once quarterly.

  • I do not work with insurance companies on your behalf on a traditional ‘treat and claim’ basis. However, I am more than happy to send letters of confirmation of session completion, alongside the relevant invoices, in order for patients to claim back a proportion of their payment.

  • If you have any information related to your condition or concern, for example, detailed scan reports, doctors notes, previous physiotherapy notes or anything else you deem useful, please bring them along with you to your session or you can send them via email prior to the session at info@madisonkindallphysio.co.uk

  • In person sessions are held at Fred’s Gym on Heath Street in Hampstead. I can also offer home visits in the North London area, within a 4 mile radius of Edgeware and Mill Hill, or Hampstead. Home visits are 1 hr only.

  • I know life can change quickly, and so can priorities. I have a fair and transparent policy when it comes to rescheduling and cancelling appointments, so you can plan accordingly.

    Rescheduling policy
I am happy to accommodate requests, if there is space I will always try to fit you in. If I am fully booked, I will be transparent and we can find an alternative future space. There is no penalty for time changes within 24 hours.

    Cancellation policy
Any appointments cancelled more than 24 hours before a booked appointment, there is no fee. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of a session, you will be invoiced for 100% of the cost.
